Our Story

Nolan and Megan first met at Purdue University as part of the crew (rowing) team. Through morning practices, long bus rides and team gatherings, a friendship blossomed. It wasn't until 3 years later that they started dating, but the waiting wasn't over just yet. Nolan graduated from Purdue that spring and accepted a job with Anheuser Busch in Jacksonville, Florida. Megan graduated from Purdue the following year and continued her education by pursuing her masters from the University of Alabama. While finishing up her masters Megan was accepted into the internship program at the United States Olympic Committee. She moved to Colorado Springs for a semester. Once the internship ended Megan moved back to Chicago to look for a job. An opportunity opened in Indianapolis, IN and she accepted - we call this the Jacksonville of the Midwest. Eight months later, Nolan accepted a job at Nestle in Anderson, IN and moved to Indianapolis! After five years and countless Southwest Rapid Rewards points, they were finally together in the same state!

On August 8, 2010, it was a casual summer afternoon Nolan and Megan had just come home from a nice walk with the dog and were enjoying the summer air on the deck. They were talking about how great things were and how after so many years apart, everything had finally worked out. Nolan said "yeah, it's almost perfect." to which Megan responded "almost?! what could make this more perfect" And Nolan got down on one knee and said "If you were my wife, will you marry me?" Megan of course said "YES!"
